A mala created to honour and purify the five elements: earth, air, fire, water, ether.

Earth: Earth is represented through the Quartz etched guru bead, and the Lotus Seed marker. The etched Quartz bead reads the Tibetan mantra ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’, which roughly translates as ‘the jewel of the lotus’, encouraging the wearer to remain steadfast in his or her search for their true nature and highest self. Clear Quartz cleanses, balances and aligns the chakras, helping you to find clarity and aid meditation, connecting you with higher energies. The Lotus Seed produces the Lotus Flower, which symbolizes spiritual knowledge and power. The lotus grows through the muddy waters, flowering above the surface into its beautiful form, and as the rains fall from above the drops don't stick on the petals but fall back into the water. Meaning that once someone has realization what falls into the world no longer affects them.This conveys that a spiritual aspirant, while living in the world, should remain unaffected by the worldly attractions and should work towards spiritual unfoldment.

Air: The element of Air is represent by the raw Amethyst at the top of the mala. Air relates to the characteristics of Thought, Reason, Intellect, Knowledge, Freedom, Memory and Awareness. Amethyst calms the mind and aids meditation, stimulating the third eye. It is a high vibration stone that transmutes energy into love. It has the power to block negative environment energies and enhance higher states of consciousness.

Fire: The element of Fire is represented through the Lava Stone at the top of the mala (next to the Amethyst). Fire relates tot the characteristics of Passion, Courage, Lust, Creativity, Fertility, Virility, Desire, Romance, Force, Enthusiasm. Powerful Lava stone has within it the energy of fire and earth because it was once in the elemental form of fire, and now transmuted to the element of earth. It can be very useful for those who are indecisive, timid, or who are generally feeling weak. Lava stone can also assist one develop stronger ties with the earth. It can also be beneficial for those who feel they are "too fiery", by bringing a natural balance with the blending of earth's grounded energies.

Water: Water is honoured through the Labradorite marker bead. Labradorite calms an overactive mind and energizes the imagination, bringing in new ideas. It is a wonderful tool for returning joy and spontaneity back to one’s life. It helps eliminate the emotional drain of daily routine or being weighed down by responsibility, and awakens a sense of adventure and change. Labradorite is a powerful protector of the aura, preventing energy leakage, and others from tapping into and draining your personal energy.

Ether: Ether is honoured through the Tektite pendant. Tektite is thought to be the terrestrial residue from extra-terrestrial occurrences (meteorite impact). Due to its origin, it is thought to enhance communication with other worlds and to encourage spiritual growth through absorption and retention of higher knowledge. It forms a link between the creative energy and matter. It helps to release undesirable experiences, remembering lessons learned and concentrating on those things that are conducive to spiritual growth. Larvikite (surrounding the Lotus Seed and Labradorite marker beads) is said to represent both water and earth elements, and is often known as black Moonstone. Larvikite is a powerful stone, which teaches patience in striving for your goals, aiding contemplation, meditation and one's connection with the earth.

The 5-faced Rudraksha beads represent the unity of all 5 elements. The bead of Rudraksha has Ayurvedic qualities. Each Rudraksha have some preventive and curative medicinal value. The beads of Rudraksha, its bark leaves and outer shell of the beads all are used to cure various ailments like mental disorders, headache, fever, skin diseases, and also to heal the wounds. Wearing and worshipping Rudraksha is beneficial to the nervous system, it controls blood pressure, paves towards mental stability, removal of stress and helps one to retain healthy body.
